Terms of Service Time!

Welcome to the ChasingTailsWorkshop Terms of Service! We’re happy to see you! Please read carefully before requesting a commission from us.

PRICING AND PAYMENTS:

❀ Please check our FAQ for current price estimates!

❀ Once accepted for a slot, a non-refundable down payment of 25% is required 48 hours. Once full payment is complete we will we begin work on your commission! :D 

❀ Payment plans are welcome up to 1 months maximum, and will require a non-refundable 25% down payment upon acceptance. We always prioritize commission applications who are ready to pay in full, so please take this into considering when applying! 

❀ You must be 18 years or older to commission! :) Please be prepared to show proof of age if you’re accepted for a slot.

DEADLINES:

❀ We will give a completion estimate upon acceptance for a slot, but we will not guarantee them. We do like to be timely, so we try our best to be accurate! :3 

REPAIRS:

❀ If you notice any issues once your goodies have arrived that were our fault, we’re more than happy to fix them for the first 6 months free of charge! If the issue is caused by user error or excessive roughness we will charge a repair fee. Our costumes are unique, handmade garments and as such will wear with time. It’s recommended to learn basic hand sewing techniques to patch up any small tears incurred from normal use. Feel free to message us for any advice you might need! We reserve the right to deny repairs if the commission incurred damages caused from mistreatment or if the suit is dirty.

❀ Any pieces in need of repair must be washed before sending to us if they’ve been worn. No stinky suits in the mail please! :’) Please check our ‘care guide’ for more info on how to properly care for and maintenance your suit!


ALLERGY WARNING:

❀ChasingTailsWorkshop is pet friendly! We keep our cats away from our fabrics, but cats are cats and they find a way to slip into our workspace anyway. If you have pet allergies, please take this into consideration.

PHOTOS AND SOCIAL MEDIA:

❀ We love to share our work! We reserve the right to post photos and WIPs of your commission on our social media, website, and other pages. 

SHIPPING:

❀ Shipping will be an additional charge once your suit is completed. We’re located in the US, so international shipping can be costly. Please check rough estimates before commissioning! We are not responsible for any import fees or taxes in your country.

❀ We ship with USPS Priority Mail with a signature requirement as our default option! You can specify how you’d like your suit shipped with us at the time of shipping! :) We have UPS fairly close by that we’re able to ship with instead of you’d prefer!

❀ Once a suit has been shipped, it is out of our hands and we are not responsible for loss or damages. You will have the option to purchase insurance at time of shipping as well if you choose!

REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS: 

❀ If you wish to cancel your commission before it has been worked on, you will be refunded all but the original 25% agreed upon down-payment. If it has already been started, your refund will be adjusted according to how much work has been completed! We reserve the right to finish and sell the commission if this is the case. If the commissions is already finished, we will not be able to issue a refund. Returns are not accepted for completed work.

❀ We reserve the right to cancel a commission for any reason. Cause for cancellations on our part include but are not limited to: abuse, harassment to us or others, racism, homophobia, etc. If we choose to cancel the commission, the down payment will also be refunded. Please be kind to folks!
